United States Army 161st Infantry Regiment Unit Crest (First in War First in Peace)

Criteria: This is the unit crest (Distinctive Unit Insignia) for the 161st Infantry Regiment. The unit was heavily involved in combat during the Philippine Insurrection. Red, white and blue represent The Philippine flag, and the unit's participation during that war is reflected on the crest. Unit crests are worn on the epaulets of the Army Class A Uniform jacket.
