[TAILOR TOYO "TT15546" Cotton Vietnam Jacket “VIETNAM MAP”]

The Vietjan is a popular item at Tailor Toyo every year.
Like the Sukajan, which was born in postwar Japan, the Vietjan is a souvenir jacket that was born during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s.
Two types of fabric are mainly used: cotton twill or a camouflage ciju pattern poncho liner, and the pattern is embroidered with matte thick colored thread.

This was custom ordered by a US soldier stationed in Soc Trang, a city in southern Vietnam, in the late 1960s.
It has an orthodox design with a tiger and the character "happiness" on the chest and a map of Vietnam on the back, but the dragon on the sleeve is a size larger than other Vietjans and is intricately embroidered. At first glance, the map part looks to be the same color scheme, but in fact the color is changed to match the body color, perfectly recreating the charm of the matte embroidery unique to Vietjans.

With slightly narrow armholes, it is a simple item that looks simpler than it looks, so you can enjoy matching it with your coordination.
The outer fabric is cotton and the lining is rayon, so it feels nice against the skin, and you can enjoy the texture, feel, and feel of this piece.
